Works at Lancaster Leisure Centre were completed in two phases over a 6 month period.
Phase one involved the existing gymnasium facilities to be stripped out and refurbishment works being completed to provide a “state of the art” gymnasium area to the 1st floor level.
Phase two involved the construction of a 500sq.m. Portal Frame extension to house a Spa area together with ancillary “pampering” facilities. The original centre was built over a landfill site so great emphasis was placed on protection of the new facilities from rising ground gas.
